Television Interview 7/25 @ 10 AM

Thank you to all who tuned in to the radio interview! Live is live, and that sometimes means that segments get cut short. However, interest in the foundation is continuing to grow!

Bob Lee will interview Mark on his show OPEN. The segment airs July 25th at 10:00 AM on BronxNet.
Bronx residents can watch OPEN on Cablevision Channel 67 or Verizon Fios Channel 33.
Everyone else may go to www.bronxnet.org and click Channel 67 on the "Watch Bronxnet Online Now" button.

Don't forget that we are now campaigning for donations with a goal of receiving $5000 in contributions by August 12th, 2011. Every dollar counts so don't be afraid to contribute any sized amount. If you have any questions about the foundation you can comment here on the blog, post on our Facebook page or send an e-mail to MBFDonation@Gmail.com. Someone from the foundation will get back to you as soon as possible.

Besides monetary contributions, you can be part of MBF's fight for healthy academic and physical outlets for New York City youth by spreading the word. Post about us on Facebook or Twitter. We appreciate all of your support and proven interest in your community.

Call for Volunteers

The Mark Breland Foundation is searching for qualified volunteers available to begin working with the program this Fall, at the start of the 2011-2012 academic year.

This round of hiring will be for tutors for the academic after-school program, which consists of homework help and general mentoring. If you are a student, you should be at least in their 3rd year of college with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Experience working with children between 6 and 10, preferably in a tutoring environment is required. Candidates who do not meet these criteria exactly, but who are exceptional in ways that would make them terrific mentors will also be considered. Student must reside in New York City during the academic school year and be willing to commit to a set number of hours per week on the days to which we agree for at least one semester. You may be able to receive school credit.

Please send a resume and cover letter detailing why you would like to work with the organization and what makes you a great fit to MBFVolunteer@gmail.com.

We look forward to hearing from you!
